There is no indication that we would expect the J-35/XY at this stage to have done any trials aboard a carrier, so it should very much be a CGI.
And the frame does overall look like a CGI of course.

Sorry for the over-excitement. Someone in the comment section mentioned that those indeed are just J-15s with their canards not being quite visible at that lighting and angle.

The first one behind the superstructure looks like a J-15, its canards are just barely visible.

I don't think J-35 would have folding horizontal stabilizers.
