In addition to the two J-XY/35 (mockups or real? who knows), the recent GE update of Huangdicun also shows us the outline of the 003 and various key deck features as well, when we adjust lighting and contrast.

Foul lines, elevator positions, are seen more visibly this way. Also, we see the shed there is meant to represent the island's deck footprint.


Likely for simulating spotting of aircraft.

In service by the end of the year seems too fast of a timeline. If we assume June 3rd launch, I'd figure at least a year of further fitting out and sea trials, which would take longer than commissioning into service by the 2023 Navy Day. Add that this will be China's 1st CATOBAR carrier with added system complexity, maybe a commissioning in 2024 for the 75th anniversary of the PLAN is more realistic?

Sorry you're right. I meant completion not in service.
