I doubt 001 and 002 will remain in services for long after a large number of CATOBAR carriers enters services. Logistically, it won't make sense. Of course, unless they are assigned entire different roles.

The 002 could be kept, at least for training. It's harder to predict the fate of the 001 though.

001 will likely be much better preserved than china's other Soviet carrier fleets (of which china will have 3).

Many Chinese support sending 001 to Pakistan

001 would not be suitable for pakistan. Would cost too much to upkeep and introduce another fighter without economies of scale. Might be better to develop them a 076 with EMALs. Eventually Pakistan may likely field j-35 family assets as that will likely be the core chinese stealth export.

To own an aircraft carrier will just bankrupt Pakistan, for the upkeep of even a decent carrier-borne assets is beyond Pakistan's means.

Unless somehow Pakistan finds some other sponsor(s) to foot the bill...

Besides, having just one carrier is but a token force at best.

This pretty much means that if China wants to build up her catapult-capable naval aviation capabilities before the 2030s, she will have to rely on conventional-powered carriers. In this sense, most likely we will see a couple or more new conventional carriers before the 2030s

No time was wasted, because the next aircraft carrier is based on the (construction-) experience with 003. For this, 003 first has to reach a final state. Perhaps the hull of the next aircraft carrier has already started somewhere. It takes time for modules to be recognized as part of an aircraft carrier.

Well, the 003 is incorporating a lot of new and unproven technology. If more than one of these ships are built concurrently, it would be very risky.
