If it's a measuring contest, China has already lost lol. It doesn't matter if it's longer or equal length, people will just say the AC doesn't have nuclear propulsion, 3 elevators, 4 catapults etc... That's what happened to Shandong, I expect the same. Anyways, back on topic.

Exactly........if the Chinese were as paranoid as some, about the length of their Carrier being a bit longer than anyone else's Carrier, they would of made it that bit longer from the onset of the design.

lol... measurements about J-20 length had continued for almost 8 years to prove that China could not develop an air superiority fighter bu only an interceptor by westerners.

Why is it so important how heavy and how long 003 becomes? It's just another step towards the "real" Chinese aircraft carrier anyway.

...............no.no.no........i don't think that is the case, why?.........well look elsewhere, the French Carrier "Charles de Gaulle" is quite a bit smaller than the American super carriers........yet it is Nuclear powered.
