through this image we can tell there is definitely enough space/length for the 3rd elevator, but still need some kind of clearer image to see if there is indeed a hole(hanger entrance) on the port-side

If there IS an elevator on the port side, it would not be that close to the stern. It'd basically be out of the picture, starting just around the right edge of the image or slightly outside the right edge.

Is the bow of 055 pointing at the stern of 003? Looks very much so!
