Hi,
and how many total number of sea trials for each of them, before they are fully operational
thank you
The Liaoning conducted 10 sea trials in 13 months from its first sea trial in August 2011 to its commissioning in September 2012, and it took more than five years for it to be declared operational in November 2016. China's second aircraft carrier, the Shandong, conducted nine sea trials in 19 months from its first sea trial in May 2018 to its commissioning in December 2019, and it took more than five years for it to conduct high-intensity combat exercises in the Western Pacific before October 2023.

There was a member who accurately recorded the sea trials on this forum day by day for CV-16 and CV-17 and even did a comparison

I hope we will have that data and it’s not been lost

I am sure someone can find it

This looked like the old photo that appeared two or three months ago... inside the out-fitting basin before the first sea trial.

Edit: confirmed this photo is dated April 2024.
Correction : posted by your goodself on March 27 2024, on post #9783.

You sure? There was a 052DG parked right in front of the CV's bow in the March photo (quoted below), which is notably absent in the photo which I've posted directly above. There is no J-35 mockup visible in the March photo as well.

The KJ-600 mockup has made it onboard Fujian.

One of the comments claimed that the JL-10J mockup has also been moved onto the carrier, but my eyesight isn't good enough to see it. Anyone?

Also visible is a 052D(G) berthed in front of the carrier.
