Btw, on a side note - project 1143.5 and 1143.6 carriers had much more differences than just this even before Liaoning's purchase.
Do You have an example for differences?

For the other readers: 1143.5 = Kuznetsov and 1143.6 = Varyag/Liaoning.

Different internal subdivision, most notably in angled deck(cat) and near stern at hangar deck level.
Superstructure was updated, received new shape(new radar array).
Significantly different radar/electric and CIC infrastructure(for example, new RLC FORUM instead of troublesome MARS-PASSAT)*. Cat track on angled deck.
Updated weapon storage&transfer facilities, different airgroup(yak-44 AEW&C most notably)
Et ce te ra.

*both are/were aegis type command&control systems.

What if... The 001A had a wall between bazalt vls and hangar just for us to think the hangar wont be larger.
And then later on while we cant see they remove it.
So that the strategists think she cant carry more and then shoot down 30 aircraft and are like FREEPLAY.
And then china launches 10 more aircraft haha.

What do you mean by angled deck (cat)? Especially the "cat" part.

Catapult tracks on both 1143.6(Varyag) and 1143.7(Ulyanovsk) would have been installed on angled deck, 1 and 2 tracks respectively.
Like this:

Notably, sky-jump was retained even on nuclear carrier.

Since catapult is much more than just 90m track - internal structure of angled deck was to be changed significantly.

That wasn't the point of my question; the 64,000 dollar question is do you have any creditable information CV17 will have catapult(s)? If so, kindly list your source.

He's describing differences between the Kuznetsov and the Varyag (CV16), and I think he meant that the Varyag's angled deck is designed with the capability to incorporate a steam catapult, not that it has one which it clearly doesn't.

EDIT: By the way, in line with big shrimp predictions, I think it's safe to expect launch in early 2017, possibly even before March or April. That would indeed be a pleasant surprise.
She's looking more and more like her older sister.

Originally a ot of the Chinese sites thought she would be launched in 2016...but I have maintained a 1st or 2nd quarter 2017 launch, and am holding with that prediction.

She is looking good though and it is sure that China's 1st indigenous carrier will be in the water soon enough.

China's ship building industry, Dalian in particular, and the PLAN deserve our respect on a lot of hard work...and particularly people in the west should respect this and recognize that China is not finished by any stretch.

There will be more carriers (probably 2-3 full CATOBAR carriers after these two STOBAR carriers) and the new large (12,000+ ton) Type 055 DDGs and all of the new 7,500 ton Type 052Ds are not being built to escort themselves around, and not just around the Western Pacific either...and neither are all those new FFGs and newer nuclear attack subs.
