Sorry but so enormous, no comments !

You should know:
SSBNs are useless if detected - they need the big ocean.
Inside of the Islands (Chinese Sea) SSBNs could be detected and destroyed pretty soon.
The Islands have small passages, to be closed by enemies very easy.
So SSBNs have to break through the 1st island chain.
It should be better inside of a well working CBG.
So a CBG will support that breaking pretty well.

We can't get that idea, because the aircraft shuttling between carrier and landbase at short notice.

I am waiting for some Liaoning news but keep ending up in a subs discussion and for me its quite annoying.

If you look at the map of south china sea it is the most logical place to base their SSBN. Close to the Hainan submarine base easy break out to Pacific

Thank you for your knowledgeable input but we all know that SSBN deployment of PLAN will concentrate around SCS. We know that for 15 years. And conventional submarines for the ECS. That's well know for years.

Aside from conclusion in your post (why they put those there) everything is right from strategical point of view. That's defensive mode of PLAN if you haven't noticed it yet.
