To be fair, innovation/pioneering is indeed harder and bear more risk, from both technical and financial point of view. What are you implying?
I welcome you back ...... and you start being "funny and irrational"

Well from experience you never get the full set of the original drawing doing retrofit . Because when you built the ship they will took this drawing all over the shipyard and then back to their office. forgetting to return it to the drawing vault or don't even bother to return it . Now this is before the electronic drawing system. Now a days it is easier to keep track of drawing because of digital drawing format. And they are kept in cloud server. But my understanding Ukraine was contracted to start digitized the drawing but never completed then Soviet Union implode. I guess the Chinese spend years digitizing the drawing and they say a lot of drawings are missing. But more important then drawing are the people and know how to built it. But those people are dead or retire and no way to consult. Also all the component save for the driving train are all Chinese designed and builtChina also received 40 tons of blue prints and design documentation for the Varyag along with the hull.
Pretty ironic for you of all people to complain about off topic lmfaoThis is CV 16 Liaoning [001 carrier] site. What has it got to do with 1944 US night fighting?
Shipbuilders don't have any sort of a policy to have some copies of everything for safekeeping?Well from experience you never get the full set of the original drawing doing retrofit .
