Will CV16,17 ever sail outside S.China sea to Indian Ocean or may be Gulf region for military exercise or simply testing logistic capabilites? I think a biannual exercises would help strengthen forward deployment capabilities without apperaing too hostile. Although it would erk some nations initially but in a few years these exercise would be perceived internationaly as normal activies.

I think it would be a pretty extreme suggestion to make the the CV16 and CV17 will never go beyond the SCS, especially in the coming decades as more and more 003 class and future CVNs start coming online.

Logic would dictate that it’s only a matter of time until the CV16 or CV17 start patrols into the Indian Ocean and beyond.

PLAN will need more carriers to cover the SCS and ECS before they can free up some to venture into Indian Ocean. Will also need more SSNs to escorts those carriers for that matter.

She retired after 5 years of service, which is normal for enlisted men and women in PLA. They may also opted to remain in service if they wish. Officier ranking personnel stay much longer from u40 years old to 65 years old depend on their rank.

Below are the minimum years of PLA service in peace time:- (accuracy not confirm, as this is from non-official public English language source in internet)
The minimum term of office for the principal commanders at various levels in peacetime shall be:
3 years for a principal commander at the platoon level;
4 years for one at the company level;
3 years for one at the battalion level;
4 years for one at the regimental level; and
3 years for one at the divisional (brigade) level.

Thank you for the correction.

As for the "early retirement" of our lady sailor from PLANS Liaoning, I dig in further for different set of law on 中华人民共和国兵役法 Military Service Law of the People's Republic of China，as an enlister women, she was oblidged to serve for only 2 years if she was a consript, or maximum service period of 30 years and not exceeding 55 years old if she was a volunteer.

　第四章　士兵的现役和预备役
第二十五条　现役士兵包括义务兵役制士兵和志愿兵役制士兵，义务兵役制士兵称义务兵，志愿兵役制士兵称军士。
第二十六条　义务兵服现役的期限为二年。
第二十七条　义务兵服现役期满，根据军队需要和本人自愿，经批准可以选改为军士；服现役期间表现特别优秀的，经批准可以提前选改为军士。根据军队需要，可以直接从非军事部门具有专业技能的公民中招收军士。
军士实行分级服现役制度。军士服现役的期限一般不超过三十年，年龄不超过五十五周岁。
军士分级服现役的办法和直接从非军事部门招收军士的办法，按照国家和军队有关规定执行。

She seem too young to retire.

She moved on to bigger and better thing in life. Why not ? She is still young. she can make contribution to the nation other than becoming a sailor maybe civil service. Is there any preferential treatment for ex military men or woman in China? But she can inspire a whole generation of young ladies in China's west to think out of the box. I marvel at China progress in providing opportunities to the young, 20 years ago she will be stuck in humdrum domestic life. Now she has seen the world
