I guess this is your first-hand experience to confront with THIS type of preaching. (You may saw political preacher before, but not THIS type)

Welcome to experience to the SIDEEFFECTS of being famous at Chinese forums, boss.
(Who says there can't be communication with ideas? - in Chinese style, hehe.)

That's not true. In the history of PLA, there were many people from other countries, including USA, Canada, and India joined PLA. In fact two of the most famous WWII era military doctors were Canadian and Indian.

Today you could see Tibetan, Mongolian, Korean and Urger soldiers in uniforms in different ranks.

But those are ethnic difference, not nationality differences. Although they're not Han, but they are Chinese citizens born in China. Just like a black guy born in Texas and serve in the Marines. Although not main stream white American, he is a citizen, which gives him the right to serve his country.

".... Therefore, eight projects have been identified to optimize the military's personnel structure, including cultivating high-tech military talents, introducing overseas intelligence and high-quality talent education, training in new combat weapons, cyber warfare and non-traditional security missions, such as the humanitarian missions being carried out domestically and overseas by 2020, Xinhua reported .....

Liu said he believed that the willingness of China's military to absorb overseas intellectual achievements, as displayed in this plan, was positive, as it "demonstrates the military does not keep its door shut to the outside."

"It shows that high-level military officials have realized the importance of drawing lessons and experience externally, which could boost China's own development especially in grass-root research programs," Liu said. ..."

lol, PLA got this tradition - not well expressed by english, but you can google it out:

HOW MUCH DID PEOPLE LIKE 钱学森邓稼先 get paid?

PLA is "PEOPLE'S ARMY", citizenship dose not matters, but you have to among 人民 first. That's the hard truth.

These are researchers...just like any employees, both working for government or companies. Their bosses make the millions and billions, and they only get a raise in salary and a big bonus at the very most. I doubt the US scientists would make very much either, unless they're working for themselves.
If my memory serves me correctly, when the department responsible for the atomic weapon and ballistic missile research was given national science research award back in the 80s, they were given like 50,000 dollars prize money (quite a bit in the 80s). But considering there are 20,000 personnel in the whole department, each only received 20-30 dollars, including 钱学森 and 邓稼先, they were literally like China's Oppenheimer and Von Brawn. Without them, we wouldn't see China still having the territories it is having today. It would be still like pre-WWI, which is torn and Western Powers each having a piece of China.

Maybe the Western frontier for the Americans wouldn't be Guam or Okinawa, it would probably be Shanghai. It is because of those scientists that China has respect from the rest of the world, instead of being stumped upon like Libya.

It thinks these were more like visiting/officer exchange to PLA:

Exchange program for sure.

The previous two posts mentioned the PLA attracting foreign talents, they meant to attracting 钱学森 kind of PEOPLE, not the thread initiator (so many years already) kind of FANS.

There is no good way to use english to express what PEOPLE means in Chinese dictionary. I urge those interested, to read back my posts at page 7 and page 8 of this thread.

There is no "NATURALISATION" process in China like other emigration countries have (we are not an emigration country); there is only the concept of "PEOPLE'S DESCENTENTS" 人民子弟.

So to those PLA fans out there: You either live like what 钱学森邓稼先 did, or else.
