If it is not impossible, then it is possible. I think NZ has also had an outbreak that was suspicious of frozen imports. Don't rule out anything. That is science. Trying to dismiss the possibilities because it is extremely unlikely is not science. Remember these same people were dismissive of face masks and asymptomatic transmission a few months ago. Nothing is wrong for being caution. These media need to stop being so bias.
Any low probability event can become reality when you deal with a large population. It may not happen in a lab when you do an experiment 3 times. However, when you deal with the general public with millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions, or billions of people, these "unlikely" events becomes possible. A once-in-a-million event is usually considered as highly highly highly unlikely. However, when you have 1.4 billion population, that's 10,000 people potentially getting it. All you need is one person gets infected from touching the packaging. Then this person goes around and starts to infect his family and neighbors. In a few days, you get an epidemic... Even for a single individual, if you handle a frozen package once in a year, you don't have to worry too much about a highly unlikely event. However, if you handle hundreds of packages every day, in a few months, you will handle a million packages. Then that once-in-a-million event becomes "highly likely" to you. Goldman needs to be more responsible than this. He needs to realize that he's not dealing with lab setting anymore. This is a highly infectious agent loose in the general public. Any "unlikely" event becomes highly likely...
