The Pfizer vaccine has arrived at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. They will start administering tomorrow. Fingers crossed. We will find out how effective and safe the vaccine is in a few weeks. Long term effects wont't be so fast...

One caution is that you need to continue to be careful even with the vaccine. We won't be out of the woods until at least 60% of the population has the vaccine and the virus is under control.

must be showing the extent of Japans decline, they are leaning on the USA so much that there collective intelligence has taken a sharp drop. I wonder, if China ever tried to take Japan right now, would the current generation of Japanese be capable of putting up a fight?

The Japanese are not buying these Indian vaccines anyways. All Chinese should continue to boycott Japanese products.

-First, they would stress that this is a huge humanitarian disaster in China - not a natural disaster, but a man-made one.

-Second, the US and the West would criticize China's so-called authoritarian system for being inefficient, and accuse China of concealing information at home and abroad so as to expose the "inevitability" of a high death toll triggered by China's system.

-Third, they would say China does not care how many people die, and that Chinese lives are not respected. Their attacks on China's human rights would reach their peak. They would compare how much the US and the West value every human life, and how real and dignified individual rights are in their countries.

-Fourth, they would also accuse Chinese society of being barbaric and madly deny the legitimacy of the CPC's governance.

-Fifth, once there are frictions between China and the West, the US may think of exerting military pressure on China and launching a general offensive against China's political system, trying to defeat China at one stroke and fundamentally eliminate the so-called threat brought about by China's rise.

Don't think it is such a good idea at the moment. Tactically, China is still engaged in trade war with the US. Australia is at forefront of the new anti-China alliance. And you always want to hit the person that stick his neck out first.

Japan has aging and debt issues. SK, Taiwan, and China have eroded Japan export competitiveness. Japan is still vital for providing components and material for China tech industry. Therefore, China should overlook Japan hostility since Japan is only secondary threat and competitor.
