To his defense, this doctor has said publicly he believes in China's numbers and results and sees no reason why not to believe them when the rest of the Western MSM are casting doubt on China's numbers and recovery.

Saw his earlier video, and do find him annoying due to his prejudice against China and more importantly logical reasoning.
By the way, I don't think he is a medical doctor. He used to train nurses if I'm not mistaken.

Hu Xijin weighs in on this issue:

Just a few days after the US presidential election, Pfizer announced that it has made significant progress in developing a Covid-19 vaccine. This is good news, but the timing is a bit odd. Then, Brazil halted Phase III clinical trials of a Chinese COVID-19 vaccine, citing "a serious adverse event." It is even more odd. I am very worried that politics and excessive pursuit of profit are very much involved in these announcements surrounding vaccines.

I personally have confidence in China's vaccine development and the overall seriousness of its handling of the pandemic. China's scientific research institutions were the first to isolate the strain of the coronavirus, and were the first to invest in vaccine development, all under strict national-level controls. Sinopharm announced that it has vaccinated 56,000 people with a vaccine they developed before they travelled abroad. None of those vaccinated have had any serious adverse reactions, and none have been infected so far.

In addition, China has four vaccines in Phase III clinical trials in different countries. So far among them, only Brazil has made the sudden announcement in this way, at this timing. Because there still isn't enough information available, we need to wait for further information to be released.

Brazilian health regulator Anvisa said the incident had taken place on 29 October but gave no further details.

However the head of the institute conducting the trials has told local media the person's death was not linked to the medical trial itself.

...

Dimas Covas, head of the Butantan institute conducting the trials, told local media that the trial's suspension was related to a death, but insisted that the death was not linked to the vaccine.

This was backed up by Jean Gorinchteyn, Health Secretary for the state of São Paulo, who told a news conference that the death was an "external event" that was not related to the vaccine.

Mr Covas said that there had been no adverse reactions to the vaccine.

"We found this Anvisa decision strange, because it is unrelated to the vaccine. There are more than 10,000 volunteers at this moment," Mr Covas told TV Cultura.

He said the suspension had caused "indignation" and that the organisers of the trials had not been consulted. In a press conference on Tuesday, Mr Covas said he hoped trials would resume soon.
