Does anyone here knows someone who owns a house, for example.

Does that house owner buys house insurance? How times has there been a fire? If there were no disasters, why buy house insurance?

How do the random mutations to DNA happen?

Are mutations good or bad? I have read that either 1 cigarette or a pack cigarettes cause 15 mutations to the human body (forget if it was 1 or a pack).

That is why IMHO the authorities do not come clean with all the relevant information. The Ebola virus is 90% certain! We probably have heard of Ebola, and know it is bad, but how many in the general population remembers the number?

We have a virus SARS-CoV-2 where there is no cure, easily transmissible, and spreads quickly. One bad mutation ... then what? could be what? ... could be ... Ebola time!

If someone says, the chances are low of bad mutation leading to Ebola time ... just ask them if they know someone who owns a house and does not buy house insurance.

That is why the authorities do not tell us the relevant information, and hopes people are used to that, the boot stamping on the faces forever, to notice anything different. It is a very serious situation. The authorities do not want people to understand what is going on to avoid widespread panic, so they have the boot stamping our faces, and do not speak of relevant information.

If they do, there will be mass panic.

If we do not believe there will be mass panic if people knew that they do not have house insurance, well, did we remember those toilet paper panics in the supermarket?

There is no more toilet paper, OMG!!!

Note, I have no science credentials, also I still read stuff, and the brain is still working somewhat, unlike Sleepy Joe.

If there is a bad mutation to the virus, making it more virulent and destructive, no big deal, because at that point, the government in the western world will finally order a Wuhan style lockdown. So at this a positive.

Another positive I have heard is that in American NFL football, no player has contracted Covid-19 while playing, and everyone on the team from the players to the coaches are tested every day.

There has been players tested positive, and they are not allowed to play, and there has been no outbreaks on any team. Unlike baseball where the entire Miami Marlins team was not allowed to play cancelling all their games during their team outbreak. The sports leagues seem to confirm that catching this virus outdoors is rather remote.

Prolonged exposed of 15 minutes with someone indoors who is infected seems to be the standard of catching SARS-CoV-2. That is what they use in the NFL.

BTW, tomorrow I like KC to win and Tampa in the prime time game, so I parlayed them -135 odds. Trump's friend quarterback Brady is going to be motivated to win that game for him.

From an evolution point of view, pathogens tend to become more infectious and less lethal. So it will be less likely for the pathogens to kill their hosts and they can be more widely distributed.

Biden said he would form a COVID task force on Monday - not a task force for CPC virus or China virus. For that alone I'm happy the orange buffoon will soon be gone - knocking on the wood he will not be back in 2024!

Good or bad is quite irrelevant here, the only thing that matters is the surviving mutations are the one that can adapt to the current situation.
For example, if everybody with a slight symptomp swiftly quarantine themselves + wearing masks, then the surviving mutations will be those who are asymptotic or long pre-symptotic, since the symptotic variants will be difficult to spread.

Also looking back at the last epidemic during WW1, the second wave was far deadlier since, soldiers exhibiting severe symptomps were transported back to the field hospitals in crowded trains, while those with light symptomps did not. That means the deadlier variants spread much easier compared to the milder one.

Honestly, two things, what does Taiwan really bring to the world stage as of now, other then a meat bag that China could snuff out with one DF or EMP to Taipei should Taiwan decide to really anger China for the hundredth time of being told to quit it (and they probably shouldn't rely on the USA for back up since really, when is it the last time they haven't backstabbed an ally hint hint Kurds just recently) and also, did Taiwan help other countries around the world when they are in deep shit like China has done, if not Taiwan can simply shut it and go back to the corner to cry like that stupid HK beggar that is somehow is convinced that he is fighting for democracy while in reality he is busy causing a scene like a raving monkey throwing shit everywhere and basically hitting everyone but the main target.
