I quite like China, I just don't like the CCP. A little joke once in a while never hurt anyone.
I hope this is the little joke because if not, it just shows how hopelessly stuck you are on Western propaganda. The "I love the Chinese people but hate the CCP," is the West's biggest act of whistling past the graveyard and fooling itself to calm its nerves. The Chinese people love and support the CCP because the CCP guides China to achieving the dreams of the Chinese people, which is global power and prestige. Westerners pretending that the Chinese people only want peace and an easy life while the CCP is forcing them to fight and make sacrifices simply fear China's true power. They want to pretend that they face a small government with frail control over 1.4B people with no ambitions seeking any easy way out because the reality, that they face the most competent government in the world leading 1.4B education-valuing and ambitious people towards the common goal of dethroning Western dominance, is simply too frightening a reality to accept.

Remember, if you don't like the CCP, we Chinese people don't like you, so please don't get creepy and rub your face against our butts telling us how much you like us.

That's confusing. Do the Chinese people you quite like, approve of your decision regarding their government system?
Or you are one those "standing up from long distance " concerned people?
Last time I checked, government system of a country is a sovereign matter of that country. What's the validity of your liking?

This is what they meant when they said they don't hate Chinese. Just the CCP.

What a coincidence!

I too like countries so much that I promote separatism and sedition in their populace. What better way to profess my love for a country than to encourage the start a balkanization process that could lead to the undoing of their entire nation and end with millions of their people dead?

Oh wait. I'm not psychotic. Sorry Mr Snake, you're on your own here.

Trump's team now spinning that they've always taken extreme precautions over coronavirus... Cover up that they didn't take coronavirus seriously and then say they still got it anyway. Trump still endangering Americans with his lies even after getting it himself. All because he doesn't want to admit he was wrong.

If this is true, what is wrong with these people? Russia and Iran media are openly celebrating that Trump got Corona and China like usual is acting like a coward. Has the leadership not realized that Trump was never going to be soft on China?

I don't understand the entire obsession with stability. Do you think America became a super power without needing to fight? This is disgusting to me.
I suggest you to go back to study Chinese history. The subject is "秦穆公, 647BC, 晋惠公". In 647BC, Jin Kingdom had a famine, the Jin King (Hui Gong) asked for help from Qin. Some people in Qin court proposed to attack Jin arguing it is the perfect time. But the King of Qin (Mu Gong) said "this is immoral" and provided food supply. Later, when Jin attacked Qin again, the Qin army retaliated and entered Jin without much resistance because many Jin people see no reason to defend a morally corrupted King. That victory was the starting point of the long process of Qin building what became the modern day China.

The bottom line is that no matter how bad a person may be in your opinion, celebrating his misery and suffering is too low and is nothing that made China's glory in the past, and certainly not present and future.

Don't forget Confucian teaching: Do not impose on others what you do not wish for yourself.

Also, China leaders also consider how history will write about them. They don't want to be one records showing themselves to be 'small' persons (xiao ren). President Xi and wife has conveyed well wishes to Trump and Melanie. This is what grown ups will do.
