Yes look at the beginning of Jan 2020, headlines like China's Chernobyl moment is everywhere. This from the 'respected' Washington post.
But today, pool parties held in Wuhan! And US, despite having plenty of warnings and time to prepared are still struggling to contain it. It won't surprise me if the Nov election is call off.
If you use Weibo, go to the Beijing supertopic. Xinjiang netizens are in full revolt over draconian lockdown measures there (and I very much sympathize with them).
Proof? My family on both my mom and dad side are in Urumqi, they have not seen or participated in any revolt.
When I said 'netizens' I obviously meant online revolt not revolt IRL.
And how can you tell if those are XJ netizens or just Taiwanese or Hong Kongers or instigators that pretend to be one.
I'm still waiting for proof... even an internet link would suffice. Again to my previous point, I assume both my mom and dad's families have not had their internet cut-off (I talked to them early this morning/their evening). They would have mentioned a "revolt" online.

he is lying to cover for the fact that a revolt that is 100 of times worse then the HK riots is going on in the USA, one that is going to get a whole lot worse and unlike China, there isn’t much that can be done to stop it.

Haven't we seen here a Westerner who claims to be a priest, a medic, and a self styled journalist and giving interviews with himself asking himself , and now and then banging his keyboard in this forum to entertain all of us?
And claiming to be a Chinese and Hong Konger to boot.
So perhaps he can multitask by claiming to be living in Xinjiang and self styled victim of brutality there as well.
