All of 122 Cambodia's confirmed cases have recovered and there is no fatality. Also Thailand, Laos, Vietnam are getting close to clearing all the cases.
The fact that all of these direct neighbors of China have a very small outbreak of the virus and they're close to containing the virus shows the truth of the matter. That China had not been trying to cover up the virus of which some in the West have been framing China.
Viet Nam has one Covid19 patient (patient 251) died on 1-May, however, Vietnamese as well as WHO officials confirm that the reason of death is not related to Covid19 as the patient has liver disease.
I think there are at least two points different in culture between the West and the East:
1. Eastern people rely on themselves rather government. We need to have our own saving for use in case of emergency. The children, grand-children will look after their parents and grand-parents when they are old. We usually don't buy insurance (not all, of cause). On the other hand, Western people would want their environment ready for them to live and that is the job of government. That's good for social welfare but in case government doesn't work or cannot work, their lives go into chaos.
2. Eastern people are easier to control then Western counterparts. In case of Covid19, government tells its people to stay at home and people stay at home. In case of Cambodia, people even stay at home before government told them to do so (again, not everyone, of course). Some business practice work from home or temporary close their business voluntarily. Western people OTOH always want their RIGHTS. Because the people think that government cannot deprive their rights on traveling, they go outdoors despite warnings. What's worse, they don't even believe that the novel corona virus can be dangerous for them. I saw something on the net "Corona virus was made in China, so it won't last long". Now, this is what they get for being ignorant.
