Quite a few posts of racism rightfully being called out. However, I just want to remind people, it is not an East vs. West situation. People in western countries suffering can be any race, not just white. After all, many of us are living in these countries. It is a human race vs. the virus. We are all brothers and sisters against it. Let's not let the politicians divide us with their vile language. I'm sure all of us have friends of all backgrounds that we would not want to be affected.
Of course, I have no problems bashing western media and politicians, lol. The Global Times opinion piece posted a few pages back actually quoted something I posted myself! The politics and media really have murdered many of these people in my opinion through negligence.
This is an old article back in February. The article itself is not political. However, you look at the comments just the first page, many of them talk about "Winnie the Pooh", comparing the quarantine facility to "vocational facility", etc. etc.
What is sad, these people are so busy laughing and talking about the stupid politics, they don't even realize what the real lessons are. Only one person (seemingly Chinese from another post) points out "This is a quarantine centre for mild cases". This is how badly mind-controlled people have become thanks to politicians and the media. We can't just learn the lessons as they are, but rather it has to be ideologically pure.
While I think Canada has done a good job testing. I do question why the governments were so slow to ban public gatherings and events.
You see the effects now in BC which shares a border with WA state. It is totally out of control in WA and no doubt it is part of the reason why it's hitting BC so hard now.
Logically speaking, if a guy like Kevin Durant (the injured NBA player) can catch it, it must be so widespread in the US.
I can't say for sure what his day to day life is like, but considering he had major surgery on his foot, I'm assuming his activity level is relatively limited. He's not contacting with fans/press much since he's not playing, and I'm assuming most air travel is charter/private jet.
