Take good care of yourself and your loved ones as best as you humanly can. Just an added personal message to you if it makes you feel better, my friends son (3x vaccinated with Pfizer and Moderna) had recently been reinfected by the Covid-19 (don't know what variant we have now since the testing has been stopped in Ontario, Canada a long time ago) and he stayed home for 5 days, and then came back to his work place on the 6th day after testing negative.
I hope that the variant in China is the same elsewhere and since the population at large despite the size has been vaccinated or received 2x vaccination, most of you, including your father should be more than okay. Given that the mortality rate in the rest of the world hasn't been at catastrophic level which is a decent indication of the virus lethality which is not as deadly as the first variant up to including the delta variant.
After several days of suffering, I have just recovered from fever.
On Monday night, I suddenly felt a little dry in my throat. At that time, I was busy on fix my computer and was sweating all over. I thought I just had a cold.
The next day I felt a little uncomfortable, but it did not prevent me from going to work. I mentioned in the morning that I was feeling unwell. My supervisor didn't even dare to leave the office, but chose to call me to go back to rest.
Sure enough, I got home at noon and fell ill.
I finally got rid of my fever on Thursday, but unfortunately I still had a cough.
The most painful part of the whole process was my stomach. My stomach has been indigestion, and became more uncomfortable after I got sick. All the water and medicine I drank were piled up in my stomach.
The feeling of fullness in the stomach is very heavy, the stomach is constantly regurgitated, the esophagus is burning, and I can't eat (even if I'm hungry). Finally, I vomit everything I ate the day.
The most unfortunate thing was that the day after I got sick, the street where I was was without water for a day, and that day was the day I needed water most.
My company hopes that I can return to work after the test result is negative, but now there is a big problem: I can't buy detection kit anywhere whatever drugstore or online. The hospital also stopped testing COVID-19,now I can't provide the proof they need.
What I have seen now shows that it is bound to cause serious impact in the short term. The shortage of drugs still needs to be solved for some time, but the most important thing for patients is time.
Some stores were still open a few days ago, but I found them closed when I went out to buy medicine. I guess this may be the impact of disease transmission. At present, it has not caused a large-scale disaster, but it has brought a long and lasting pain.
