Seems like covid is spreading rapidly. Not to sound grim, but we won't see the fatality rate until another few weeks

Lol, the guest is saying "China is letting it rip" and getting the blueprint from the West on how to do it. He said China's daily vaccination number was only 45,000! Wonder where he got the number. Last I've seen it's over a million. How can the analysis be objective if he can't even get the number right?

The mortality of the Omicron is less than 0.1%, about the same as flu. Currently, the biggest problem is the overwhelming of the healthcare system. After a few weeks, people will find out that it's probably better to stay home if they don't have severe symptoms. In general, you don't want to go to hospital unless you have to, because you might get infected by some nasty, antibiotic-resistant bugs there, or even harmed by iatrogenic mistakes.

Three doses of the Sinovac vaccine is as effective as mRNA vaccine. For those over 80, Sinovac is slightly more effective.

Vaccine doses given in China:
  • 12/13/2022: 1.433 million
  • 12/12/2022: 1.252 million
Cumulative deaths in China:
  • 12/10/2022: 5,235

Is also a mistake to compare Hong Kong with China because the population density of HK is 7000 hab/km2 compared to 150 hab/km2 of China. Even in Shanghai the population density is around 3000 hab/km2 is still lower than HK. So unless there is giant festivals were a lot of people congregate themselves like what happened in India with the delta variant or in Taiwan. It could be that the spread would be a long slow burn rather than a massive spike and more as people mask themselves and avoid crowds. it could give china time to develop their nasal vaccines.
This is what the western wants China to be. Now they are satisfied.
That worst of that news that probably has nothing to do with people getting infected and more with fear, as people avoid moving too much for the fear of getting infected. Of course the CNN will not say this because go against the propaganda narrative
