Private antigen tests are supplement to the government tests. It might aid early detection of cases.

MSM and SCMP are already jumping up and down and hoping China couldn't contain the virus. More lock down needed. If Shanghai couldn't contain its cases, then it needs to implement stricter protocol.
But the problem is this:

Those who test positive using antigen test should report to staffers at community authority and go through nucleic acid tests for confirmation, the NHC statement said.

There is no legal enforcement mechanism to report the test. Plus, people may not adhere to any quarantine procedures if they have tested positive. This happened before and led to several outbreaks. Regardless, fortunately China hasn’t used the Wuhan strategy on the entire country yet. So there is a possibility that they can contain it. Regardless of the result, Hong Kong needs to be fundamentally changed. They were a liability from the start and should have their government fully adhering to Chinese laws and reformed to the liking of the central authority and their electoral candidates selected based on a rigorous selection exam and application process.

@Tyler, you're spreading conspiracy theory. I deeply believe that the virus has its origin from the nature. No one with his rational mind will purposely leak such virus into community unless he is a terrorist.
Well. You better talk to China and Russia about shutting up about those claims because they are getting serious about them. And no, I don’t buy the idea that they did it just to respond to Pompeo. The Chinese foreign ministry is cautious, sometimes overcautious imo, when they make their statements.

What China in the past and Russia today are doing is to counter the blame game by the West. The West thinks that they have more mouths, so they speak louder. That's politics! However, we're the rational people and we don't join those blame games, whichever side!

Hard to say. This blame game is extremely dangerous and doesn’t need to be elevated to the conspiracy level of the Fort Detrick one. The Chinese could have stuck with the nature argument, called the US a lunatic, and be done with it. However they chose to bring that supposed conspiracy theory in. The fact that they brought this up to the UN and the fact that a leak did occur at Fort Detrick is pushing me to take these claims more seriously than before. I’m not saying those internet savvy conspiracists are prophets though. They aren’t scientists and based on how they talk, they can’t do basic fact checking.

Let’s just wait and see. If the Russians and Chinese take more diplomatic offensive actions against the US on this, then that means something unusual happened and they have evidence. Until then, I wouldn’t dismiss this nor would I fully trust their claims. I don’t blame you for thinking their accusations are crazy.

Trust me, the novel coronavirus comes from nature. Then, you can feel comfortable and go to bed.

I appreciate the advice, and I am definitely not losing sleep over it lol. The only thing I might lose my sleep over is the pathetic response by Hong Kong’s government. I am just saying we need to be a bit more cautious given the present political situation. Sometimes, the craziest s**t happens in real life, not in fiction. Until then, let’s wait and see.
