It is just a disgrace that Carrie Lam has failed her people. No lock down, I guess it is too late for it. Carrie Lam got her wishes that is living with covid and doing away with dynamic-zero covid policies. To be honest, I think there is no point to implement a lock down right now as the Hong Kong government is just incompetence. Just let the virus burn out itself and do a mass testing to eliminate the rest.
The main problem is some people have refused to get vaccinated. Carrie Lam has done a decent job. More vaccine clinics are now giving the biontech vaccine.
Carrie Lam failed to close the loopholes of airline crews when many experts including mainland Chinese experts told her to do so. When Omicron got into Hong Kong, Carrie Lam didn't act fast enough to tackle the crisis. Everyone knew that it is a disaster waiting to happen when Carrie Lam didn't implement more restrictions during the Chinese News Year.
Of course, it is the Hong Kong opposition media misinformation that caused most elderly to not get vaccinated but Carrie Lam if she has listened to mainland experts by vaccinating young adults first like mainland China did then those media might not be able to sabotage the vaccination penetration in elderly. Beside, she has one year to find a way to force those elderly to vaccinate but she keeps waiting and waiting until the disaster strikes.
