Is there any wrong for one to be hospitalized if he/she is tested positive? Or does one want to hang around with the virus inside him/her and then spread around to other people? What is the real purpose of this CNN article?

@SteelBird bro forget about my previous post about 10,000 case at the end of the month, Yesterday we hit 10,778 and we may impose lockdown before the end of the week. I think the number is much higher especially here in Metro Manila as sales of Leng Hua TCM is skyrocketing.

That's worrisome brother. I saw the figure of 10,000+ in The Philippines today. Although we have managed to tame the virus but Omicron keeps coming in and those high-rank people coming from abroad always want special reception for themselves; coming in without testing or want treatment at home after tested positive. Our Prime Minister has said today "no Omicron carrier is allowed to treat at home, no matter who you are".

Regarding Lian Hua, (I am no doctor) my father is at his late 70s and has a lot of chronic. The other day he had a sore throat, even drinking water would be painful for him. We advised his doctor and got some medicine. After about a week, nothing improved. It was so painful that each meal was killing him and he didn't even want to eat. I was thinking that the sore throat may caused by "internal heat" (內热) so I asked him to try Lian Hua. After two days, like a miracle, his sore throat had gone and he could eat and drink normally.

No - in fact it is official WHO guidance.

It underlines the biggest difference between the west and Asia IMO, and the bigger argument about individualism and greater community responsibility.

One of the reasons covid is so bad in the west is because very few people who test positive actually isolate.

Not sure if they are available on Taobao but for medical equipment and medicine, my suggestion is always obtain them from the formal channels. I only buy rapid antigen test from government supply channels which are cheaper and more reliable than market channels.
How much are you getting those out of curiosity? There is price gouging of RATs here after cases surge to crazy levels and people are grabbing them by boatload leading to shortage and some pharmacies despicably raising prices.

Our government agency only sell two items in prices which they call root prices (no profit). For RAT prices at US$2 ~ US$3.5 per kit vary from brand to brand. Each box contains 20 kits. MoQ 1 box. The second item that they recently put on shelf is Molnupiravir 200mg, each bottle contains 40 capsules and cost US$55. Sales of the above items are for use with entity's premise only, not for resale. We use RAT obtained from government agency to test our employees and found several positive cases.
