Yep, it's the same in Australia where people refuse to take AstraZeneca because of the scaremongering and say they want to wait for Pfizer despite studies now showing that Pfizer has limited and reduced efficacy against Delta.

In a way, their own propaganda has worked against them, hoisted on their own petard as it were.

Some Vietnamese people chose to leave after being informed that the vaccine used for them is Sinopharm. In the clip, one medical worker said "What more do you wanna ask when there's vaccine for you?", the man reply "Will you be responsible if I take the jab and die?".
Wow!! I don't have any ounce of pity towards those types of Vietnamese who seems to spite the Chinese far more than the Americans who f...ng rape and maimed them during the Vietnam War. And where did that person got the idea that Chinese vaccines kill? Lol

VIetnam is suffering the consequences of their own propaganda. They only have themselves to blame,
Not all Vietnamese opposes Chinese vaccine. In the video I posted above, the spot first provide Astra Zeneca, then they announce that AZ is out of stock and will continue with Sinopharm. So the people became angry and left the scene. In other spots they simply have a poster outside that they provide Sinopharm, if anybody agree then come in, if not, go home!

@SteelBird bro here it also happen but in reverse, Nobody want to take AZ especially when news start circulating that it was made in India (don't want to discriminate I'm just a messenger). Lately the popularity of Pfizer had taken a hit due to news of its low efficacy and surprisingly Doctors here (paid by the BIG PHARMA) start advising patient to just inoculated with any brand to protect themselves from hospitalization which is the goal of vaccination (they deliberately screw up that message for profit), people here start queueing for Sinovac with recent example of President Duterte scolding Mayor Isko Moreno for breaking protocol ( to much media focus and credit grabbing lacking on organization skill and planning) and letting people wait in heavy rain and flooded street to be inoculated.

If the Chinese vaccines do work, then all this nonsense about Malaysians/Vietnamese etc looking down on these vaccines isn't neither sustainable or productive.

Am I missing something here? What do they aim to achieve by NOT taking Chinese vaccines and when only lower efficacy vaccines are the available rest? Fostering Sinophobia? Engaging in ethno nationalistic chest thumping?

The only brownie points they earn are more bullets in this Russian roullet. When they take a non-china vaccine and get infected, who are they going to blame?

'Despite an early and effective vaccination campaign, the number of serious cases in Israel has risen almost tenfold over the last month, from 45 cases on July 13 to 462 on Friday, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Of those, 75 are on ventilators."

WTF.

I am being tempted to get vaccinated with sinopharm again despite already having 2 shots of pfizer.
Any expert advise or recommendation? Specially if one is in close contact with elderly.
I'm no expert but it's probably not a good idea to mix vaccine without going through trials. Not sure if mixing Pfizer and inactivated vaccine has been tested. There could be some weird antibody response which has happened to other viruses, although it's most likely ok, since I've read that some people have done this before.

@Xsizor from my favorite doctor, more and more Filipino listen to him than the traditional MSM, Bro he is a Hua Qiao doctor who live in Cebu, so he is more open minded. Financially he is doing well therefore not relying to much from Western Pharma.

My in-laws in Malaysia waited for a western vaccine because they were afraid that they wouldn't be able to travel to the UK if they used the Chinese one.

All the western propaganda works, but works too well, like an actual bio weapon its indiscriminate so its just as likely to kill your own as the perceived enemy, if the 'demon cratic' mob don't sort themselves out, it will be 'Black Death 2.0'!

@hkbc bro there are fake news circulating here that if you are inoculated with the Chinese vaccine, you will be denied entry in the US and the prefer brand is Pfizer and Moderna, guess who are the one spreading it.;) I had a client who book a flt to Chicago all four of them had completed their vaccination with Sinovac and the American let them thru without any quarantine protocol.

I think it is a forgone conclusion that all vaccines effectiveness wane after a few months especially against Delta. Study says Moderna maintains effectiveness better than Pfizer. But I think it is only for a short duration. I am no expert but my thinking is that if cases surge in your area with Delta then it might be wise to get a third shot sooner rather than later.

Similarly, in Minnesota last month, the authors found that the Moderna vaccine (also known as mRNA-1273) was 76% effective at preventing infection, but the Pfizer vaccine (known as BNT162b2) was 42% effective.

Another one million doses donated to Bangladesh.
