Aren't many of the "American" parts made by local joint ventures anyway?

Besides, there hasn't been a C919 delivered all year. I wouldn't be surprised if the US already imposed a silent embargo.
yes. most of the foreign parts currently producing in mainland through joint ventures even Engine nacelle produced with Safran through AVIC nacelle in Xian.. this JV company name is ''SAVI''

one C919 delivered this year. soon you will see more deliveries.

Nope. so far they didn't block Engine sales. but anything is possible. let see

"The PM believed that after each working session with leaders of COMAC, the aviation cooperation between COMAC and Vietnamese partners would have better results. He suggested that along with cooperation in leasing and hire-purchase of aircraft, COMAC cooperates with Vietnamese partners to invest in aircraft maintenance and repair centres in Vietnam."

Things are moving hot & fast since Jan. VietJet is now set to lease C909/ARJ21.

Should be a win-win sinch Vietnam is really after being part of the supply chain / depot sites, while COMAC is looking for a springboard into SEA

C919 is surely not that far behind....

(one concern though it that VietJet is a low-cost carrier with not the best reputation. COMAC would surely not want any operational issues boomaranging back to the planes)
