Fantastic. Closing in on Embraer as the number 3 civilian airliner manufacturer.

Embraer is looking at deliveries of 55 E-jets this year. Those are C909 equivalent regional jets. They have no narrow-body model like the C919 though they stated they are planning one.

Embraer does have a robust business jet arm that COMAC doesn't have so far.
Embraer will deliver 70+ civilian aircrafts this year.. i think that's include business jet as well.

COMAC delivered 47 civilian aircrafts this year. include 12 narrow body.

I've also seen the 70 number and I think that is right. I think 55 is just for the E-2 but they are still delivering E-1s.

I saw figures that they delivered 41 business jets in so that 70 should be just airliners.

Then still a bit of a way to go for number three.

Thanks for the post!

From this Sept. 2024 CGTN article below, it seems that China Eastern received more than it was promised this year -- 6 instead of 5.

But it is seems there was quite a miss from the suppliers conference in March 2024. It was supposed to be 30 C919s delivered in 2024? Maybe it was a misquote and 30 is supposed to be production not necessarily deliveries?

For China Eastern, the deal promised a delivery of five aircraft in 2024, 10 per year from 2025 to 2027, 15 per year from 2028 to 2030, and 20 in 2031. For the other 200 orders for Air China and China Southern Airlines, the deliveries are also expected from 2024 to 2031.

According to the number announced at COMAC's suppliers conference in March this year, the C919 is scheduled to deliver 30 aircraft in 2024, 54 in 2025, 84 in 2026, 110 in 2027, and 126 in 2028.

yeah there was a meeting held between COMAC and suppliers. i don't think they mentioned 30 deliveries this year. this was supposed to be production. from 2025 onward you will see the pace of C919 production.

if you read old massages on this thread. Chinese suppliers replacing foreign suppliers and JVs in order to fulfil smooth deliveries of part/component.

current assembly line of C919 has 50 units capacity annually..

second assembly line of C919, currently under construction has three digits production capacity. will be full operational in 2027..

Is there not some scope for a deal with Embraer here? Embraer can set up a final assembly line for C919 in Brazil whilst COMAC phases out 909 (which I understand was not well received by airlines) in favour of Embraer's regional jets?

Just a thought.

I think so. Probably less ambitious than assembly lines but still significant with supply chains talk. China and Embraer parted ways on a JV just a while ago but China gave certifications to the E2s which might be quid pro quo:
