there are a lot more than just engines, i think if the US does go that route C919 will be dead for a few years at least.

When the US sanctioned Russia's MC-21 in the late 2010s they got Japanese and European companies to cut supply of carbon fiber.
Do not assume if the C919 is sanctioned only US suppliers would be affected.
And what materials does the US sanction that China can’t source domestically? China already has to be able to make whole planes without foreign sourcing.
