Natural icing tests. COMAC had to develop new testing methodology as the existing one was based off of icing in the great lakes. Canada seems like they were slow rolling the testing, so now China has a methodology to test this standard in China now

I just do not think making C919 in Shanghai will be a good idea. The cost will go up a lot in the future.

Right now, Boeing no long produce B-787 at Everett Washington, all production and future production will be done in South Carolina for cheaper labor cost.

Which is why I think it will be wise for China to produce future C929 and C939 in Xian.

Bro my 2 cents, the reason for Boeing downfall, save extra cost= lemon plane, Everett had an established engineering workforce while they have to train new one in South Carolina with questionable standard.

there is also a lot of white politics here. most engineers in Seattle are asians, they want to move to south carlina where most people are white and also non union.
