So CJ-1000A has moved beyond the design and research stage, and is officially on its way to be certified for production. It is expected that it is certified anywhere between 2025 and 2027. Clearly there is pressure to accelerate the process.

I just do not think making C919 in Shanghai will be a good idea. The cost will go up a lot in the future.

Right now, Boeing no long produce B-787 at Everett Washington, all production and future production will be done in South Carolina for cheaper labor cost.

Which is why I think it will be wise for China to produce future C929 and C939 in Xian.
Second assembly line will be operation in Nanjing City in 2023. most of C919 units will produce from this line.

Shanghai Branch concentrate on C929 and next generation C939 ..

CJ-1000A final stretch has begun. means last major step before certification. flying tests and collecting data. will take 2 more years. after 2025, engine will be ready for small scale production. CJ-1000 will expand like WS-10 family. means more advance variants coming too.

AECC established pulsating assembly line for production. it means they can churn out engines really quick.

I wonder if there's been any news of China buying up Russia's civilian aerospace tech, now that Russian tech has basically zero hope of being exported and their domestic market isn't big enough.

Would probably also make CR929 development easier since now only China would be involved
