Alright, did we actually get anywhere on the comparative purchase price and running costs of C919/A321/B737? From this we may be able to see if C919 will be a success or not.

Airliners are one of those products where price will very dramatically as it’s based on deal negotiating.

The real importance of C919 is not just having a plane that could be paraded around. It will prove invaluable to the aviation industry. Western aviation industry is strong because knowhow and capital acquired from the civilian sector feeds into that of the military. If China ever aspires to be a leader in the field of aviation, it must have a proper domestic aviation industry.

nobody knows. COMAC didn't reveal total production capacity.

second assembly line of C919 will be operational next year in Nanjing city. so capacity will be doubled. COMAC planning to scale up the production of C919.

So how much of C919 now will be provided by domestic suppliers? I remember there was a graphic of c919 and most of the things were from the West. How is the progress going on for localisation?

It probably takes more than 19 parts to make a passenger jet
