India was not better than China when Buddhism was created; it’s more that Buddhism was an useful instrument for the northern nomadic conquerors to legitimize their rule in the eyes of the population over native religions that favored native elites. It was also a fit religion for the chaotic and bloody period of the Age of Fragmentation when Northern China was constantly fighting due to the collapse of the Han Dynasty.

If the Han had not collapsed it is not likely Buddhism would have taken off, either way it wasn’t because of India being more advanced.

Saw a Chinese joke online about the lack of diversity (women) in Black Myth: Wukong.

The gist of it is Wukong and friends are on a journey to the west (India), if it was you, you wouldn't bring any female friends either.

Well he was very rich before the fire.

So how come Elder Jinchi is still around by the time monke showed up? I recall in JttW after his monastery burnt down in the big fire and him finding Sanzang's kasaya no where to be found (because his bear friend saw it on his way to help with the fire and ran off with it) he committed suicide by bashing his head into a wall.

I did recall somewhere around that fight the loading screen says something like 执念 are strong emotions that tie down a person's spirit to the mortal realm even if they body has passed on. Is the idea that Elder Jinchi monke face is the embodiment of his greed that still inhibit the ruins of the burnt down monastery?

Are you implying that they are a bobble head baby that’s extremely annoying and hard to beat?
