If Blood Message doesn’t contain Tubo enemies (the main reason behind the rebellion) out of sensitivity to Tibetans then that’s a real message that Chinese developers need to stay the **** away from historical settings because all it’s going to do is cause controversy.

How hard could it be to just not have Ming enemies in Wuchang? The story isn’t even about the Ming but some esoteric fantasy race based on the Sanxingdui culture. If the director wanted to make a statement about obsession could he have picked a worse historical target than Ming loyalists during the fall of the dynasty? The whole implicit message there is “people should know when they are defeated, just surrender to the Qing already.” How could you think this would not trigger at least some people? What do you think would’ve happened if the KMT & CCP just took that attitude towards the Japanese?

Anybody else pick up a Nintendo Switch 2? I've been playing the new Donkey Kong and it is a fantastic game. Developed by the same studio as Super Mario Odyssey, it takes a lot of gameplay design elements from that game! Just a fantastic modernization of the DK formula.

Some screenshots I have taken while playing:

Unpopular opinion, but the new Donkey Kong design actively makes me mad. Not in the way of just being upset, the very visuals of his face are making me physically mad. I hate his stupid face so fuking much.

I'm playing Girls Frontline 2: Exilium :3
Zzz and hsr for me. Funny enough I honestly enjoy playing those games enough to stick around long term. Also still playing Naraka Blade point and marvel rivals as well. All these are Chinese games since most other games, even from Japan have quite frankly lost my interest since not of those other games seem to have much soul in them nowadays. I mean look at the latest stuff from Japan being remakes for crying out loud like as though they are appealing to nostalgia then anything else. China is where it’s at although I honestly hope ‘Where winds meet’ is released globally soon because quite frankly I always wanted to play a Wuxia game for once that actually plays well
