Sorry if i should be asking elsewhere, but did people hear what will replace the basic flight trainers CJ-6A with PLAAF? I couldn't see if we have a thread on this topic

CJ-6A is still produced... sure that performance wise it's not a fast aircraft but if it still do it's job of basic trainer, do they really need to replace it with another type ?

oh i didn't know the production of CJ-6A is still continuing. Yeah in this case no point in taking on a new platform if new examples of CJ-6A can be shipped from the factory

edit button doesnt work anymore. I guess my question is also if PLA is actually doing that, just getting new units and replacing the first delivered ones?
