I'd say its a fairly similar level of progression or learning curve if you were to compare our training pipeline to fast jet training in the US or UK, where pilots moved from the T-6/Texan T1 (same plane, different designation) to T-38 and Hawk T1/T-45 (again same plane, different designation)... But hey to each their own.Thanks boht for reply.
Yes, I saw the modernized cockpit in the CJ-6, but the rest of the plane no change. So, is my opinon, the steep beatwen CJ-6 and J-8 is too long, but I suppuse that China Air Force is pleased whit his performance

Whoops my badPardon to contradict ... from all i read that is nothing more than a private venture program to sell this modernised version to civil contractors. At least there is not yet an official PLAAF connection known and the regular PLAAF CJ-6 cockpits are still analogue.
