also if you don't notice, that factory also produces parts for CJ-6 and K-8 trainer...Great video of manufacturing. I'm just surprised they still have some very low tech methods like panel beating.
Probably because of low manufacturing rate.
I think if the manufacturing rate increased then they would invest into automating the assembly line further.
China needs to make the L-15 the only standalone jet trainer aircraft and crank up the production.
The aircraft has huge export potential and can be used as a light attack craft if so required.

I will be super surprised if building CJ-6s are all high tech, CAD, laser cuts
