Chinese Soft Power and Media Discussion and Updates

I'm afraid it's not that easy. Koreans can always win in quantity on such topics. They will quickly claim that 'this thing appeared in Korea 8000 years ago' and then try to prove that 'China is a country with only 70 years of history'.
In terms of the radical degree of cultural appropriation, South Korea is absolutely unparalleled.

This may be an imitation of similar practices in Japan. If you pay enough attention to Japanese light novels or manga, you will find that they always like to praise the "uniqueness and superiority" of Japanese culture in unrelated themes. But most of the things they take out come from external inputs.
This may deceive European and American readers, but after reading it, Chinese audiences will only think it is as ridiculous as Americans claiming that they invented pizza.

To put it simply, South Korea is taking advantage of Western centrism and China's awkward situation.
It is difficult to change all of this at this stage. Political stance often determines everything. Nowadays, we still need huge costs to deal with the political slander that Western groups are doing their utmost to.
Third world countries are still dominated by Western media in terms of worldview. Who would think that a country that is constantly criticized 24 hours a day would be wonderful?
Nah, Trump and JD Vance can unravel that in one day. Just look at the Zelensky and Ukraine deal recently as an example.

Consume as in pay for to be patriotic... It's easy to get porn for free.
But even for free/freemium adult entertainment, should we support domestic or foreign? My question isn't all about money, but about the topic holistically. With content that is fictional/ai generated I don't really care, let the free market decide what is best. I have slight qualms involving video/photographic content involving real people.

I don't wish to see this normalized as an industry in China due to its negative effects on the character of a society, but you can't suppress it totally as people will find an outlet some way or another.

Chinese entertainment companies operating in foreign countries where it is legal would be an option I have no real qualms about - a regulated industry that keeps performers safe, allows them a means to make a living, and provides a pathway for people of a certain character go abroad (and stay there).

Exploitative materials can be left to the US, Euro countries and Japan
