Mind boggling how UK is so high up on the list when the only thing they haven’t managed to ruin in the past decade is Paddington Bear.

What is also mind boggling is how China is so high up on the list when western controlled global MSM relentlessly spread mis/dis-information, smears, 'china bad', and 'at what cost' anything and everything about China.

Imagine if China's global PR is more sophisticated, more convincing, and generally better then China's index score would even be higher.

I think it is posts like yours that let me have second thoughts on the opinion that some members here have "there is no soft power, only hard power". At a fundamental level, people only worship strength, if they see strength, their minds will ultimately find justifications for that strength i.e., Might is right.

I don't know much about ruguanism, but 入关后自有大儒为我辩经 has been proven right after the influx of Tiktok refugees to XHS.

Does anyone know where this guy is? Southern US?
Faak me, how is it the Russian government are so good at being memelords.
I wonder how ordinary Russian will feel watching Nezha 2 given its anti-hegemony message. GT says Russian release date is currently being negotiated.

Who could have suggested or adviced Fendi on this?
I'm afraid it's not that easy. Koreans can always win in quantity on such topics. They will quickly claim that 'this thing appeared in Korea 8000 years ago' and then try to prove that 'China is a country with only 70 years of history'.
In terms of the radical degree of cultural appropriation, South Korea is absolutely unparalleled.

This may be an imitation of similar practices in Japan. If you pay enough attention to Japanese light novels or manga, you will find that they always like to praise the "uniqueness and superiority" of Japanese culture in unrelated themes. But most of the things they take out come from external inputs.
This may deceive European and American readers, but after reading it, Chinese audiences will only think it is as ridiculous as Americans claiming that they invented pizza.

To put it simply, South Korea is taking advantage of Western centrism and China's awkward situation.
It is difficult to change all of this at this stage. Political stance often determines everything. Nowadays, we still need huge costs to deal with the political slander that Western groups are doing their utmost to.
Third world countries are still dominated by Western media in terms of worldview. Who would think that a country that is constantly criticized 24 hours a day would be wonderful?
