Tbf consider the implication of the relative power balance between US and China. There has now been 10 years of economic lead, and that's using the very charitable to US interpretation that 1$ go exactly as far in both countries.

Meaning for 10 years at least, China has been throwing more resources at problems than US can. If there's something China seemingly is behind on, it just means they invested even more into another sector that US is behind on. For example, China doesn't have 11 carriers, but they have just 1.5% spending and 2 6th gen.

If US' corruption and admin effectiveness level is at China's level, there remains many fierce battles ahead and it is far too early to speak of the enemy's objective collapse. But there's an unknown X factor, how much less efficient are the US leaders compared to the gold standard? Depending on the size of that factor, their defeat can come much faster than they should be able to hold out on paper.

Amazing things are happening in China.

Douyin opening up to the global audience as well as Shanghai being allowed to be given access outside the Great Firewall will be massive. We are looking at the SEZ experiments of the new age!

All this movement in the SM and internet space co-incides with the greater expansive of Chinese arts and culture.

Never thought I would see a Chinese AAA game and then have it be as popular as Black Myth Wukong but within months this exodus to XHS has already eclipse that! I can't wait to see what will happen in the future.

I think they won't drop the wall in Shanghai. Instead they'll just move everyone else inside the wall and starve the companies outside it. XHS is fully inside the wall, no pretense otherwise. Yet that is no deterrent and in fact it is a welcome relief from the nonstop hostile propaganda that is inflicted on westerners themselves to keep them divided and confused.

If nobody uses their stuff it will burn money, crash and burn. It is DeepSeek. Nobody will use the worse, paid version if they can use the better, free version.
