China RF manufacturers landscape gearing towards the high end with Maxscend and Lunsus being very promising.

Zhuoshengwei, Weige Chuangxin, Feixiang Technology and many other manufacturers are competing for RF localization

Domestic manufacturers compete for the high-end market.

The government has introduced a series of policies that are favorable to the development of the RF industry. The "Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Long-Term Goals for 2035" determined at the Fourth Session of the 13th National People's Congress in 2021 clearly pointed out that we should concentrate our superior resources to tackle core technologies, including the development of integrated circuit tools, key equipment and high-purity target materials, breakthroughs in special processes such as integrated circuit advanced processes and insulated gate bipolar transistors, and the development of wide bandgap semiconductors such as silicon carbide and gallium nitride.

At present, the first camp of domestic RF front-end chip manufacturers mainly includes Zhuoshengwei, Weige Chuangxin, Feixiang Technology, Anrui Micro and Huizhiwei. The above five companies have different focuses in R&D direction and operational capabilities.

Zhuosheng Microelectronics was founded in 2012 and listed in 2019. Its main business is the research, development and sales of RF front-end chips. It mainly provides RF front-end chip products such as RF switches and RF low-noise amplifiers to the market, and provides IP authorization for use in mobile smart terminals such as smartphones.

Weige Chuangxin was established in 2010. Its main business is the research and development, design and sales of RF front-end chips. Its main products are RF power amplifier modules, as well as some RF switch chips and Wi-Fi RF front-end module products, which are widely used in mobile terminals such as mobile phones and tablets, as well as communication equipment such as wireless broadband routers.

Feixiang Technology was founded in 2015. Its main business is the research and development, design and sales of RF front-end chips. Its downstream application areas include mobile smart terminals such as smartphones and tablets and network communication markets such as wireless broadband routers. Feixiang Technology is one of the first domestic manufacturers to launch 5G RF front-end module kits, and was the first to mass-produce 5G RF front-end devices on the domestic GaAs process platform. It is also the domestic RF front-end company with the largest shipment volume using domestic GaAs technology.

Onray Micro's main business is the development of RF/analog integrated circuits and SoC system integrated circuits, as well as the research and development and promotion of application solutions. Its products include a full range of 2G-5G RF front-end chips and Bluetooth SoC chips, mainly 2G, which are used in mobile terminals, tablet computers and other terminal fields. The latest performance data has not yet been disclosed.

Huizhi Microelectronics was established in 2011. Its main business is to provide high-performance RF front-end chips. It provides a series of RF front-end chips for 4G/5G and NB-IoT, which are applied to smartphones, tablets, wireless communication modules, vehicle-mounted smart rearview mirrors, smart watches and other products.

Overall, domestic RF manufacturers are gradually getting out of the red ocean competition of low-end chips, and it will not be long before they enter the high-end market that has long been monopolized by foreign capital. In such a fiercely competitive environment, efficient operation and technological innovation have become two indispensable capabilities for domestic manufacturers.

The embodiment of the present invention provides a radio frequency power synthesis device and its application equipment, which relates to the field of semiconductor technology, including: a power synthesis module connected to a plurality of power amplifier modules of radio frequency power supplies, for receiving the radio frequency power output by the plurality of said power amplifier modules, and synthesizing the plurality of said radio frequency powers into an input radio frequency signal; an impedance transformation module connected to the output end of the power synthesis module, for performing impedance matching on the input radio frequency signal to generate an output radio frequency signal; a directional coupler connected to the output end of the impedance transformation module, for performing signal acquisition on the output radio frequency signal to generate radio frequency information; a control module signal input end connected to the output end of the directional coupler, and an output end connected to the power amplifier module, for controlling the radio frequency power output of the power amplifier module based on the radio frequency information. Through the embodiment of the present invention, the multi-radio frequency power synthesis function is realized and the power radio frequency output is adjusted without changing the original radio frequency power supply structure.

this could be the biggest news in China's semi industry recently, given the role of HBM in AI and the necessity D1z chips in HBM3.

And since Micron got to D1b without EUV, I don't see why CXMT cannot get to D1a without it.

Also, this is a good sign for the de-Americanized supply chain at CXMT, since we know they had to widen Gen 3 product to import more American tools at the 2nd fab.

Also great news for YMTC, if they can get to highest bit density without American tools, that's a good sign for AMEC, NAURA (or maybe TEL) tools they are using.

Looks like a CAS excimer laser company that we posted before has upgraded their lasers for semiconductor metrology applications.

Is also targeting semiconductor lithography applications, my guess they will target dry steppers and step/scan lithography. This could open the door for some lithography companies in China apart from SMEE to make lithography machines, not quite as advance but cheaper. They could also bring back Maskless KrF lithography machines

For obvious security reasons, external USB-C/Thunderbolt computer hard drives (both HDD/SDD) need to have a manual external switch to set it physically to 'read only' mode.

The only known brand to sell this kind of mass storage device so far is the American Kanguru.

Kanguru UltraLock HDD USB 3.0 External Hard Drive with Physical Write Protect Switch.

Unfortunately, the U.S. wants to keep the monopoly in the use of these devices to its own governmental institutions only.
The natural question is does China produce any alternative product, if not for the consumers at least for its institutional users especially the military?

If you use a lot of Nvidia chips, it's a world of "Are you stupid?": (NVIDIA sinking?) Is China's DeepSeek causing all the big techs to fall?

(Collapse begins!!)

DeepSeek panic => Economic feasibility controversy => AI Chip demand decline => NVIDIA sinking => TSMC performance decline => HBM demand decline => Korea's semiconductor crisis

I imagine this is a very trivial thing to do but most don't do it because it is not a useful feature for the overwhelming majority of consumers. I say so, because I used to own a USB 2.0 drive with a physical write-protect switch a long time ago. It was one of those cheap drives without any branding and a Sata HDD inside. So most likely it was from China.

So what? That does not diminish what the previous poster says. The fact that deepseek used far less Chips to get such good parameters, indicating that demand could drop and cause a cascade reaction.

So you trying to remind us yet again that china is behind in GPU chips does not discount the fact that Nvidia can be overvalued.

Cheol Seong Hwang, a distinguished professor at SNU and a world-renowned expert in the field of memory semiconductors, stated in a media interview, “It is too early to be surprised by the 16nm. I believe that CXMT has the capability to mass-produce 11nm DRAM in the future.”
