As a key equipment in integrated circuit manufacturing, vertical furnaces are mainly used for heat treatment processes such as front-end oxidation, diffusion and annealing, which directly affect the performance of semiconductor devices. In 2010, the first vertical furnace of NAURA was delivered to customers. In more than ten years, NAURA's vertical furnaces have passed strict verification by clients and achieved large-scale mass production, covering a wide range of key areas such as logic, storage, power, advanced packaging and large silicon wafer production, and have won high praise from customers. In 2020, the 100th vertical furnace of NAURA was delivered. In June 2023, the 500th vertical furnace was delivered, and only 1 year and 6 months later, the 1000th vertical furnace was officially delivered.

In 2024, NAURA released a plasma-enhanced silicon nitride atomic layer deposition vertical furnace (model: DEMAX SN302P),
which was favored by leading customers in the logic and storage fields; in the same year, it released a gap-filling silicon oxide atomic layer deposition vertical furnace (model: DEMAX SN302T), which became a key equipment for 3D NAND flash memory production. In addition, since the 300mm vertical oxidation furnace (model: THEORIS X302P) entered the high-end 3D NAND production line in 2017 it has repeatedly won batch orders.

AMEC's revenue increased by 44.73% last year! Cumulative shipments of LPCVD equipment exceeded 100 units!​

Specifically, according to preliminary estimates by the financial department, China Micro Corporation expects its operating revenue in 2024 to be approximately RMB 9.065 billion, an increase of approximately RMB 2.802 billion from 2023, a year-on-year increase of approximately 44.73%.

Due to the sharp increase in market and customer demand for AMEC to develop a variety of new equipment, the company will significantly increase its R&D efforts in 2024 to lay the foundation for future business growth. AMEC plans to invest 3.05 billion Yuan in Chengdu.​

Due to growth of China's SiC industry, it has torpedoed the business case for Wolfspeed, which bet the farm on SiC. This is going to be the case for other SiC players also if they don't use China's supply chain for this. Alienating your biggest customer is not smart.

万扯淡 (a long time partner who does teardowns for Geekerwan) in a post says the YMTC chip found in the latest ZhiTai TiPro 9000 is 249% the density of some competitors like SN740. He says that "it's so far ahead that it's like a generation gap". They even have teardown reports, but they are not allowed to publish them now, so we might still need to wait for Techinsights.

Interesting that 2 years ago media were talking about the possibility of YMTC shutting down, and now we are seeing crazy numbers like 249%. It's a wild ride.

Looks like AMEC is trying its best to be a hybrid of AMAT and LAM which is amazing to see. Very similar how LAM played out in the sense that, it first mastered Etching machine then went into Deposition tools. But LAM was never as good as AMAT in deposition tools (as you see from much higher revenue of AMAT consistently compared to LAM). But hope AMEC can become a genuine competitor to AMAT too along with being a true LAM replacement.
