The U.S. is easing AI exports to the Middle East as China tries to recover from a drop in sales caused by a ban on the use of U.S.-made Nvidia chips in the Middle East.
Why would the US ease exports to the ME as China "tries to recover" from an US ban? That makes no sense.
The US is easing AI exports because China is beginning to replace NVIDIA in the domestic marketplace and the US is afraid that at some point MENA nations might move away from NVIDIA to the Ascend class or other Chinese made chips.
