How much DRAM did they stock up in order to make 20 million phones...
they don't need to just stock up, they can source from 3rd parties also. And they can stock up from more than just SK.

Longer term, they obviously need to either get Swaysure into shape or get CXMT to move a little faster.

just hope that China can deliver the 28nm DUV by the end of 2024 and begin to commercialize 7nm chips by 2025, 7nm is enough for China to win the tech war, no need to go further.

The biggest risks seems to be Japan's export controls, Japan controls 100% on some segments.
Again, please take things seriously and actually read over this thread. It annoys me to no end when people with no background just come in here and make grand statements or ask questions without first doing some work of reading through things

why everyone kept hyping EUV or some shit when homemade DUV has not even been seen, a homemade DUV able to mass produce 7nm is more than enough for China to win the tech. as long as China can mass produce 7nm (CPU or GPU or AI chips) with domestic tools, China already wins big time. 7nm is enough to help China to become an advanced economy.

@Blitzo @tphuang @siegecrossbow This guy consistently ignores the mods and derails the thread, despite our best efforts for a civil conversation. He's overstayed his welcome and our patience.

Unlike DRAM which can easily be obtained on the open market from distributors, HBM doesn't exist outside of chiplets in a package. And if HBM is more challenging to produce than DDR5, then there probably aren't any short-term solutions to this. Therefore does anyone know of any solutions for what would seemingly cause a lack of HBM for Huawei's AI accelerators (Ascend)?

The first EUV prototype was already tested in 2017. More advance technology is being developed at fast speed.

What machine you think they are using with DJAL CDSEM tools? ASML made clear to all chinese players that they can't use DJAL tools with ASML tools. I think is pretty obvious that they are using under the hood SMEE immersion machines. The don't even have to announce to know what's happening under the shadows, that is why this forum and others like this exist, military technology is secret, so enthusiast have to use the intelligence to make sense of things.

cannot people have different opinions? wow, no wonder China has so few friends on the world stage if people like you kept behavior like this.

I will leave this post for all to read. The issue is not having different opinions, but having no respect for moderators on this forum and derailing a heavily moderated thread.

We do expect all members, but especially newbies, to listen to moderator warnings and be humble on materials that are posted. Now, if you are working in the industry or shown your comments to be knowledgeable, there really is no issue with whatever you say. Heated arguments are fine as long as they are on topic and well informed.

However, you have shown to be neither, so we expect members like yourself to be respectful of what others have already provided and read them over carefully.

You have been given a warning. Anything further from you will lead to a ban.
