Rumor has it that the Biden admin is thinking about responding to the latest insult by cutting off chip exports to all Chinese brand mobile phones…

I would caution taking any rumor on Chinese social media of what biden admin might do with extreme caution

It goes without say that china can build a phone without America but not vice versa.

Also Huawei will have unveiling around 10 to 14th of different wearable, ear buds and other products. Expect a lot of Kirin chips going forward and much of which won't use n+2 process.

They need to quickly validate domestic tools for these process. Imo, they need at least 100k wpm of n+2 process for domestic needs

hahaha, maybe this is why the US banned the sale of Nvidia GPUs to Saudi Arabia

"The implementation of Huawei Cloud is not only about us, but also a bridge to bring other Chinese companies to Saudi Arabia," said Steven Yi, Huawei's regional president. "Our cloud services are not just for Saudi Arabia. Working with local companies, we will achieve growth across the Middle East and Africa region." He added that the move would help the development of the country's digital economy, mentioning that Huawei opened a regional headquarters in the Saudi capital this year .

IT Home has learned from foreign media that Saudi Arabia has previously stated that it will not sign contracts with foreign companies that do not have regional headquarters in the country after this year .

Huawei plans to support 200,000 new developers in Saudi Arabia over the next five years and work with 1,000 local partners and 2,000 start-ups to provide cloud computing services.

is this the reason why the US prevents China from getting advanced chips? she should know that chips for military use are waaaayyyy behind chips for commercial use. the F35 uses 95nm chips. the Iphone uses 4nm. China can produce 7nm so China is all good for military applications.
It's not about chips in missile warheads and aircrafts, etc. As you said, these weapon systems do not yet need state of the art chip technologies to build.

It's about the supercomputers, such that can help develop better weapons, that can command tens of thousands combat units simultaneously, etc.
