So it's not a lens then.

Btw, not all sensors are created equal. Pixel count alone is not the determining factor of a good sensor.
sensitivity and color fidelity also factors.
Camera module includes the lens , sensors, and readout circuitry.

I dig around for China 5axis CNC.this CCTV clips shown China first 5 axis CNC in 2015.

Its resolution is 3 micron. Do you have the latest for 2020?

The materials I posted earlier say the machining for EUV mirror resolution is 10nm.

Between 3 um to 10nm is still a big gap.
There is a distinction between high precision CNC and ultra precision CNC. Micron range resolution versus nanometer range resolution.
Havok the insider in cjdby.net said the founder of this company is a genius. The most advanced CNC is used to produce lens of lithographer. This 5axis CNC is still in verification state and not list in the company website.

Beijing Sgmicro solution for PLC industrial control, for example an elevator main controller would be a PLC
Bread and butter , grass root competency
.
It offers 8 channels 16 bit digital to analog converter
Step down voltage regulator, buffer and final amplifier .
Sgmicro 4 chips system solution for PLC

@localizer

You sum it up very well, Huawei know that chip production is their weakness , while waiting for a solution they had leverage their 5G advantages and diversify so that when their actual FAB is up and running they had complete the chain. Samsung as it stand now had a complete IDM on semiconductor sector. But Huawei if its FAB ambition had been achieve will be more formidable cause it has a HARMONY OS to power those devices and may include the auto sector, AI and cloud.
In my POV, localization probably will take too long to reach 14nm, 7nm.

Huawei will need a solution alot sooner than that.
SMIC cannot produce for Huawei because it doesn't have the approval from US.

Take over TSMC 16nm fab by force?

I thought they had a deal with the Shanghai government to use Huali or some other local manufacturer for Huawei's chips?
That would enable them to manufacture their celular backbone chips I think Huali manufactures at 22nm.

For smartphones, I don't know, perhaps they can negotiate something with the new US administration.
The Democrats are typically funded by the Silicon Valley companies so if they asked to buy chips from Qualcomm I doubt it would be blocked.
Getting chips from either Qualcomm or Mediatek would be enough to have product to sell until the native Chinese production facilities ramp up. They likely only need one or two years worth of product.

Alternatively if the US continues sanctions on SMIC and China manages to find some way to keep the existing production facilities in working order in the short term with Chinese consumables and maintenance, it could be that Huawei could simply continue manufacturing their existing 14nm smartphone SoC design there.

Question: Why does SMIC need approval from the US to produce for Huawei? If both are on the entity list, what's the point in not cooperating?

Why does Chinese companies need US approval for products not sold to the US?

Huawei is in more severe sanction.
SMIC conditional upon US approval.

Because SMIC need to purchase US equipments and materials.
They already had a public statement that it will follow US rules meaning it will apply for US approval before continuing supply Huawei

22 nm is in between no man's land.
Huawei supplying chip to byd car is 14nm.
5g base station chip at least needs to be 14nm. Server chips are 7nm.

I means in Asian culture people really pay for hardware's not really softwares. Huawei has HMS is good and harmony OS on car, I am just not sure how much they can earn from that without the hardware's which is really the cash cow.

I am not even talking about cellphone chip which now is 5nm.

SMIC already said it will need US approval before continuing supply to Huawei.
