What we have been saying for a while, except for EUV and wafers size, equipment can be used for multiple range of nodes. Tools that are now rated for 28nm in the future could be rate to 7nm or 5nm process node with minimal upgrades or none.

recently, some investors asked a question on the investor interactive platform: May I use a 28-nanometer lithography machine to prepare a 7-nanometer chip with a 7-nanometer etching machine or a 28-nanometer one?
China Micro Corporation (688012.SH) stated on the investor interaction platform on August 10 that the etching equipment developed by the company can generally cover the process requirements of multiple processes, and there is no etching equipment for independently producing 7nm or 28nm chips.
As of press time, the market value of Zhongwei Company is 88.736 billion yuan, and the stock price is 143.54 yuan per share, an increase of 2.16% from the closing price of the previous day.
