Advanced AI chips need HBM,I don't think there is any memory manufactures in China can make HBM at the moment,so they will have to rely on Korean manufactures now

they can do those logic/memory chip stacking that's really been effective. But in reality, buying Korean HBMs have been too easy and they are pretty cheap right now.

The main issue is CXMT is not the most capable fab. But Huawei has their own memory fab opening up operation next year iirc. Let's see how that goes. I believe they've even bought some NXT2050i!

Havok said there won't be any official delivery announcement from SMEE in light of current circumstances, nor will they put the new machine on their website.
even if there are no announcement, we will probably get something more certain from people we know. Either havok himself or @hvpc or someone else.

Is China still afraid of more sanctions? Announcements or not, sanctions will come. In fact, hiding your capacity may be the reasons for more sanction as your enemy assume you will succumb to them.

SMIC never announce they have 7nm,they even took down 14nm from website. YMTC never announce they have 232 layers NAND either. I guess they just want to keep a low profile now

I sometimes really don't get the point of your posts. There 1300 Chinese companies under sanctions. 1300! it is very evident the other side is not interested in any trade and is engaging in economic warfare. You advertise stuff to have people buy them. Otherwise you don't.

He basically posts stuff with an alarmist tone, pointing at stuff that China is not at the bleeding edge yet or minor issues with stuff that China already has and making a mountain out of a molehill of it. All we can tell him is to stop hyperventilating if he isn't trolling that is.

After largely fall flat in attempt to restrict China's semiconductor expansion, the US is asking Samsung and Hynix to slow down or halt expansion of legacy chips plants in China. That's why if you given in and bowed to the demand of the US easily, the US would seek and ask for more.

they are mixing up many things in there. some how confusing mature chips with memory chips

also failing on the idea that the koreans can't just end up buying Chinese SMEs.
