I think it's important to note who he is meeting here. He would only meet businesses that he is expanding partnerships in. As such, Tencent likely remains a big purchaser of A800/H800 GPUs. Bytedance likely remains a big purchase of that also.

This would tell me Baidu and Alibaba are trying to source more domestic GPUs and developing new GPGPUs for themselves that are more comparable. We know HW has their own chips already.

No meeting with China mobile or china telecom, who likely are also trying to source more domestic stuff.

On the auto side, it does seem like both BYD and Li Auto are using Nvidia chips for higher end cars.

I think Jensen complained so much recently, because he is really concerned about mainland competition. Nvidia is getting less of its revenue from China than many other fabless, so he must be hearing that a lot of projects are going local

Huawei and TSMC made 7nm DUV process, at that time TSMC was blocked by US for EUV technology, and EUV material... it was competing with Intel at that time...how can TSMC use EUV for 7nm production for the first time while they are being sanction by U.S

No idea what you're talking about

Looks like S70 is a scaled down in performance compared to S80

important things that Moore Threads hve done

this is pretty cool, they make it easy to port all the CUDA process to MUSA. This makes it easy going forward for applications to use Moore Threads GPUs, cause there is already a lot of libraries written for CUDA and it's well integrated with various frameworks.

Other thing is that Moore threads software is improving. Now it supports over 60 games, 50 motherboards and 30 displays. And this has been done in half a year through 5 upgrades.

It's not close to being competitive to the latest Nvidia GPUs, but it is improving very quickly and they have produced now numerous GPUs for different markets

Talking of competition, interesting would be when ASICs to train large language models start to appears on the market. It could be like with bitcoin when ASICs become dominant and crashed the prices of GPUs.
