Looks like S70 is a scaled down in performance compared to S80
Their main problem was always that their software stack was seriously immature compared to the competition. Expected but unfortunate. The hardware itself seemed to be up to par. Hopefully their new drivers can eke out more performance and move up some tiers instead of competing with the 1030-1050 range.

Do we have any updated benchmarks? My impression was that it was only around 1050 level a few weeks after launch. That's about a quarter of the way (3060-2080 level) there to what its hardware would seem to indicate. Their press article you linked to seems to say their gaming performance has increased by about 50% since launch, so that would be nice progress although still a lot of work left to be done.

The performance in League of Legends is particularly disappointing to me.

I follow the eSports scene quite closely. China recently won an international tournament defeating all other teams. It was an All-China final.

This bench is apparently from February of this year. When the S80 benchmarks first came out, I was pretty disappointed. The good news is, like you said, that it's heavily software limited. There's plenty of room to catch up.

I think those numbers are old. S80 should get better over time as more firmware upgrades get rolled out

Nvidia’s gross profit per DGX H100 is almost $190,000. Of course, R&D and other operating expenses bring this much lower.
There is a reason Nvidia has been complaining about the sanction restrictions. Once HW's new GPUs get produced in large numbers and ramped up, I don't see why anyone in China should be buying the nerf'd A800 or H800

Again, Huawei is supposedly unveiling something big for big model and AI for Industries in HDC. What will they unveil. Will we see their new GPU, CPU and/or AI cluster products? Hopefully.
