These terms are horrible. $100 million each year for a total $500 million over 5 years and it’s split among a group. Alongside a 10 year ban on expansion in China.
Way better than $15million, just ask the ASEAN countries.
It's too pathetic to even be called chump change when you consider the annual revenue generated in relation to the Chinese chip market. $192.5 BILLION in 2021 alone. My guess is that this $500 million spread across 5 years is not intended to supplement lost corporate revenue but to go directly into executive bonuses or even untaxable bribes.
